devLatino is built on the WordPress platform. Note, that WordPress.org is different from WordPress.com. Wordpress.org gives you more control of your site since it is self-hosted (meaning you have to purchase your own hosting and set it up) since you are building your site using the WordPress software. WordPress.com is fully hosted through WordPress.com. It is free, but your site will look like this “yourcompanyname.wordpress.com” which is okay if you are just looking to run a simple website or blog, but if you’re looking to build a more professional site, or don’t want the wordpress.com domain, then go with WordPress.org. For a more detailed explanation of the differences, go to this page to WordPress Support.
devLatino is hosted on WP Engine – Managed WordPress Hosting for your website!
devLatino.com was built using the Metro Theme from Studiopress. Studiopress are the makers of the Genesis Theme and is a premier WordPress Theme Developer.
For email marketing, I recommend Aweber. You can build relationships and brand recognition. Promote events and sales. Plus, it’s easy to coordinate email content with social media. No design or coding experience needed!
Social Media Management
Hootsuite is a web and mobile-based social media management tool. Hootsuite is a product I use every day for my personal and client social media accounts. It allows you to schedule your social media posts and provides helpful analytics. It’s also an excellent way to curate content and manage the seemingly endless stream of tweets and post for those accounts you want to follow. Hootsuite also allows you to create streams for keywords, so it’s a good way to track people talking about your brand or area of expertise. Hootsuite offers a 30-Day Trial for Hootsuite Pro.
